If you're following the Social Security reform debate, the Club for Growth has a great website called Social Security Choice you'll want to check out.

Also, some recent articles by David Hogberg in the American Spectator:

I posted your blog as the blog of the day(it's going to have feb 3rd as the date since I'm behind) You can view your link at http://blogofthedayawards.blogspot.com Eventually I'm going to figure out some kind of prize to give or maybe compile my entries and have people vote on a blog of the month or something. I don't know, I'm still trying to figure out what to do. Anyway, keep typing even if drivel comes out.

I had this debate with my brother today, a self-proclaimed proponent of "socialist capitalism". He told me that if people wanted to invest in the stock market for retirement they should "do it with their own money." I had to point out that the money the government takes out of my paycheck for social security is my own money. Sometimes I don't think the left gets that.

You'd think it would be intuitively obvious to the most casual observer, wouldn't you? It just goes to show that common sense isn't very common.
