Foiled again!

If only those public employee unions weren't so smart!

I confess it. I infiltrated the editorial board of the Tacoma News Tribune. I didn't apply for that guest column because I have a passion for ideas and a personal enjoyment of writing. No. I work with a "shadowy front group" -- an "anti-government think tank" -- and my motives are, therefore, never what they appear on the surface.

There's no denying it because it's all on video.

There are several AFSCME members who don't believe the company line.

I would say 90-95 of the employees are loyal. But the issue is that they are wound up and no where to go. By that, I mean they try to do a good job and they do work hard, but their mmission is so screwed up.

And Marsha, at least they didn't call you Hitler which seems to be reserved for Bush.

I love the response some of the applause lines got. It reminded my of the bit in Monty Python and the Holy Grail where they were forced to eat Sir Robin's Minstrels . . . and there was much rejoicing.

Come home??? Please. Had I been there I would have been chanting loudly "Just go home!"

According to an article in the Olympian many state workers weren't aware that the collective bargaining contracts would eventually require them to begin paying union dues or that they could even vote on the issue. I think you will see more upheaval as time goes on.

The attitude from the pro-union side that they somehow have borne the burden of the state budget over the last several years and have been underpaid makes me want to vomit. You would think that they were forced to have the jobs they do. Most people who want more pay either work harder or get a new job.

If they don't like their jobs and are unhappy with their pay, then they can "just go home".

You seem to know what "stealth" is - calling special levy elections "stealth elections".

Gotta tell ya between you and Josef's Public Journal - I'm getting it surround sound about the K-12 levies.

Wish Sound Politics would say SOMETHING!!

Of course, when Marsha writes for TNT, she forgets to mention she works for a right-wing lobbying group, or supports a white supremacist church. No, just another concerned citizen with independent views and a love of writing.

If she loves writing so much, why isn't she better at it?
